Are They Becoming Friends or Partners in Crime?

      A new thing has started this week. When the young grandpup lays in his bed, pup often decides it looks cozy so joins him. It's absolutely adorable, though they seem to morph into one undescernable animal. From a different picture, my daughter's friend said they looked like a " fungi ying and yang". All goes well until grandpup stretches and disrupts the space quotient.

I wrapped cushion and bed in old sheets as grandpup was attacking the filling. 

      This has become a couch thing too. First grandpup stole my spot on the chase section of the loveseat, so moved over. I sometimes work from there with my laptop. Then when I went to get a cup of coffee, pup stole my spot. Neither budged when I came back. 

     It's been quite cold again with rain, sleet and snow predicted. Maybe all three of us will snuggle up for warmth.

    Love it! My labs will Yin and Yang at time when they sleep, or the lay in identical postitons next to each other.

    Your pup and grandpup are so cute together. My dogs stole my favorite reading chair as their own several years ago and I've never gotten it back:) Sigh!

      Oh, the life of dogs! I have an almost 12-year-old Shihtzu poodle mix. My daughter has a nearly one year old rescue dog of not fully known origin. We think border collie for sure, but alternate between also lab, greyhound, or potentially even some shepherd. He's rambunctious, but not a destroyer, as of yet at least. Yes, he has torn apart his toys and ripped up his bed when bored. We've caught him in the act of having a few things not for him, but knock on wood, we haven't seen the wide scale destruction I've seen illustrated on various social media sites. Well, he did eat a tv remote, and an old pair of my daughters' glasses-both left out of their storage places, an almost invitation to the puppy to help himself. My son's shoe was a casualty-the tongue chewed to where it wasn't wearable, but they were old shoes. Oh wait. Walking the Dogs

      I remember the old yoyo trick, walking the dog. I never mastered regular yoyo let alone tricks, but I think my attempt to walk both dogs at the same time alone is equally impressive.  It's just unavoidable some days, but not very enjoyable to me. They think it's great fun though.      Besides their gate being different, something about walking makes the both very " free unloading". Picking up and carrying two versions of waste is not my idea of a relaxing walk. The other problem is grand pup is very into other dogs poop. I have this gymnastics approach to keeping the dogs away while I bend and scoop, keeping his smelling ( or worse) snout away. Last week, the gymnastics landed me going backwards, fortunately into a snow bank. I'm sure that was a site for anyone happening to look out their window. Then, he did it again just a few days ago- pulled so hard to get to lord knows what and I did an almost face plant into the snow.       It's much more easier ma

Sun Puddles and Cuddle Spots

      The dogs were living their best lives with the (finally) arrival of spring. We're taking early morning walks, mid-day walks, and before supper walks. Then there's all the exciting watching to keep entertained. When they are done with the physical and mental stimulus, they crash.      They love finding the sun spots, puddles on the floor. I'd think pup with all his fur, and grandpup with his black coat would find it hot. Nope.       Grandpup is such a cuddler too. If I am returning emails or in meetings where I don't really need multiple screens, I'll switch up my work location. They don't mind a bit, and this guy likes to cuddle right next to me and the computer. If only he could budget, write policy, and navigate technology, I'd be set.
